Well that was me on the midday of 24th December 2008 standing on the bus stop of Borabonda - a place in Hyderabad which I never visited.
And I had gone to the place this way.
It was on Oct 25th of 2008 that I joined My college GNITS to pursue graduation. It was around a journey of 75-80 minutes a day to reach college.For a person like me ..whose school was 2 minutes from home, this was a bigger challenge.Born and bought up in chintal , I rarely knew any place around it.
When I was studying my Intermediate , the college bus use to pick me up near my gate and drop me there.
And if ever I missed bus , I use to take leave.I was afraid of RTC buses and auto-rickshaws.
But this does not work now.So slowly I started going to bus stop and getting into an exclusive bus arranged for CBIT college which was always flooded with people beyond its capacity.Consequence was simple ,I stood about 1.5 hrs in the bus and automatically doze off in the class.Evening I stood in an opposite stop , where the bus comes after filling passengers and I always went home standing.That was a miserable story.
So finally on Dec 24th , I decided I want to know all routes in Hyderabad.I had nothing with me except Student pass.Instead of getting into exclusive CBIT bus I took some bus by name Golconda..I don't know that Golconda comes after crossing Mehdipatnam.From there I took a bus to Secunderabad reached safely to the station.God !! How many stops does this place has?? It was confusing. Finally went to ECIL stop and got into the bus.I don't know what made me to go there. Atleast I would have gone to Aunt's home.But No!! Now I got into Uppal bus , reached there with all smoke and dust on my face and bag and was feeling disgusted. I have no other choice so directly got into a bus which was waiting in the depot and had my lunch in it.
After lunch I regained my energy and started towards lingmapally -from one corner of city to other.But Something was going on in my mind and In between I dropped off.Suddenly I took a bus to Borabonda.Someone was following me for long time..God!! Yeh kya hogaya ..Kuich karne Niklithi Aur Kuich Hogaya !! That was the reason I was frightened.
Now Slowly some idea stuck me and suddenly I rushed into a bus which reached near by stop in about 5 minutes.Well there was my uncle's shop just near the bus stop.I went there.Uncle was shocked to see me.My eyes were observing in and around if the same person was still back of me.Yes!! He was there.Without fear I started chatting with Uncle and it was almost 6 pm in the evening.I turned around, took a look of each and every nook and corner ,Thank God! He was not there. Finally said bye to uncle and caught bus directly to home.
I was very happy that I got to know many routes.Well my mother asked me,How was your day at college?
I stopped in between when I saw my dad was rushing into the house.....Well he came and said ..Cool Girl!! You have known only a little part of Hyderabad. Approach me when you know the whole city.
